Companion Animals
​Blood Donor Program
We maintain a community-practice based blood donor program. The pets that donate to this program, and their owners, are amazing and their efforts have saved countless lives.
 
We partner with two corporate sponsors to support this program:
 
  • Pfizer Animal Health provides free heartworm, flea control, and internal parasite control products for the cats in the program.
    •  
  • ​Heska Corporation provides an automated chemistry analyzer to the program so that we can provide free annual blood tests to the donors.
We provide annual free infectious disease tests and research associate time to run the chemistry analyzer for the program.
