How Will I Be Informed About My Client’s Progress?

Every effort will be made to send a referring veterinarian letter within 24 hours.

You may also receive a copy of the client dismissal form within 24 hours. It is our top priority to keep all referring veterinarians informed of their clients visit to Critical Care Services. Please note that at times, client choose to not disclose rDVM information with our hospital.

If at anytime you have questions about referred cases, call (970) 297-5000 and we will connect you with the appropriate clinician.

What Advanced Treatment Modalities Do You Offer?

In conjunction with other specialty services within the hospital, we provide comprehensive intensive patient monitoring and management for a full spectrum of disorders overseen by our board certified criticalists and cared for by specialty-trained nursing staff 24/7.
 
Treatment options we offer include, but are not limited to:
  • Comprehensive fluid therapy
  • Transfusion therapy
  • Electrolyte/acid based disorders
  • Central, multilumen, PICC IV catheters
  • Trauma resuscitation
  • Continuous rate infusions (CRIs) of drugs
  • Pain management
  • Multiparameter monitoring (EKG, blood pressure, pulse oximetry, capnography)
  • Oxygen supplementation
  • Arterial blood gas monitoring
  • Chest tube placement, management, continuous drainage
  • Critical care mechanical ventilation
  • Hemodialysis/continuous renal replacement therapy/plasmapheresis
  • Post-operative critical care management
