Drug Withdrawals for Skin Allergy Testing

Important: To properly perform skin testing it is important for your client to withhold certain medications from their pet before their appointment. If you are unsure if intradermal testing is appropriate for your patient, please do not hesitate to connect via phone or email.

​Injectable steroids ​8 weeks
​Steroids (oral) ​4-6 weeks
​Antihistamines ​2 weeks
​Essential fatty acids ​2 weeks
​Topical steroid products ​2 weeks
​Pramoxine containing conditioners ​2 weeks
​Cyclosporine & antibiotics No withdrawal required

Stray animal policy

If you find a stray animal, please call the
Larimer Humane Society, 3501 E​. 74th St., Loveland, (Map​​), (970) 226-3647.

Please DO NOT bring stray animals to the hospital during these hours:
Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
Saturday-Sunday 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

The hospital will accept stray animals when the Humane Society is closed:
Monday-Friday 6 p.m.-8 a.m.
Saturday-Sunday 4 p.m.-8 a.m.​​​
