The 2013 Veterinary Teaching Hospital Open House will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 5-6, 2013.
The open house is a yearly event coordinated and run by the students in the Professional Veterinary Medical Program. Our open house events include lectures, demonstrations, tours through the hospital, and more than 15 displays. View the 2013 VTH Open House brochure.
6-7 p.m. – The Basics of Raising Backyard Chickens – Dr. Kristy Pabilonia
7-7:15 p.m. – Refreshments
7-8 p.m. – What is Equine Sports Medicine and What Role Does it Play in the Life of the Equine Athlete? – Dr. Melissa King
7:15-8:30 p.m. – Live Chicken Demo – Dr. Kristy Pabilonia
9:30-10:30 a.m. – Weird, Wild and Wacky - Zoological Medicine at CSU – Dr. Matt Johnston
10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – Equine First Aid Lecture and Workshop – Dr. Dean Hendrickson
12:30-1:30 p.m. – What CSU does for the Community – Dr. Ruch-Gallie
1:30-2:30 p.m. – So You Want to be a Veterinarian – Dr. Sherri Stewart
12:30-2:30 p.m. – Police Dog Demo with Officer Giddings
2:30-3:30 p.m. – Understanding Your Cat’s Appetite: Nutrition in Cats and Tips and Tricks for Feeding the Finicky Feline – Dr. Jessica Quimby
Hospital tours will be conducted every 15 minutes on Saturday. Large groups are encouraged to make a reservation by calling (970) 297-1269.

Please do not bring your animal to this event. You will not be permitted to tour the hospital. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping every person and animal safe and healthy!
