Our Rocky Ford Branch Lab provides a wide variety of veterinary testing services, including tests on all species small or large. We provide many of the same services as our main laboratory.
The Rocky Ford branch was constructed in the mid 1960's. At this time, the Arkansas Valley was active in poultry production and its main function was to serve the large commercial poultry producers. Since then, the agricultural base of the Arkansas Valley has migrated toward beef cattle and crop farming, and now the laboratory's impetus is directed towards the beef industry from the cow calf producer to the cattle feeder.
Since its inception, the lab has seen technological advances in diagnostic testing, including the implementation of state-of-the-art molecular diagnostic testing. The laboratory has seen a vast expansion of its client base so that it is now serving veterinarians and producers from coast-to-coast and border-to-border. This increased number of clientele mandated an increase in the laboratory's physical structure and a 1000 sq. ft. addition was initiated and completed in 2007.
