Colorado Avian Disease Surveillance Program
The Colorado Avian Disease Surveillance Program was created to provide disease surveillance programs for the Colorado poultry industry. The program is a collaborative effort with the Colorado Department of Agriculture and USDA. Our staff collect samples for disease surveillance testing, including avian influenza virus and exotic Newcastle disease virus, testing thousands of commercial and backyard birds every year.
Colorado Poultry Health Board
We house the Colorado State Agency for the National Poultry Improvement Plan, a USDA organization for the nation’s poultry industries.
