Regalia Orders and Distribution


Order your cap, gown and tassel in advance online via the commencement homepage and click Get Your Cap & GownThe deadline for ordering student regalia is Monday, October 29, 2018.


Faculty orders are coordinated by each college office. Colleges or departments work directly with the supplier, Jostens, to place college or department faculty orders. Deadline to order and drop off for faculty will be the same as for students, Monday, October 29, 2018. Also, tax exempt P-Card receipts will be issued to the individual/department immediately following the faculty order.

Gown Distribution (both students and faculty)
All regalia distribution will take place at Grad Fest in the Iris & Michael Smith Alumni Center on the following days:

  • Thursday and Friday, December 13-14; 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Friday, when commencement ceremonies begin, the Smith Alumni Center will be open for cap and gown distribution and drop off through each ceremony, Friday and Saturday.

Regalia Returns

All returns will be in the Moby C-wing, the Lory Student Center Information desk and the Smith Alumni Center immediately after the ceremony. Please note that there may be a charge for late returns.

Diploma Covers

Graduates receive a complimentary diploma cover at Commencement. The actual diplomas will be mailed to graduates six to eight weeks after commencement. For graduates unable to attend the ceremonies, a cover is available in the Registrar’s Office (at no charge). If it is not possible to pick up a cover, one can be mailed to any U.S. address. Email the request to the diploma office (Note: a charge of $5.00 will be required for postage).

Commencement Parking

Fall 2018 commencement ceremonies are at two venues -Lory Student Center and Moby Arena. Please use the guidelines below to suggest parking options for families and guests. Construction on campus will impact available parking. For the most up to date announcements regarding parking and construction impact please check the CSU construction updates website.

Friday before 4 p.m.

Free parking is available in Moby Arena Lot 195 (grid location A–7 on the CSU Campus Parking Map). A free shuttle, "Around the Horn," travels to the Lory Student Center every ten minutes from the Moby Arena lot.

There is paid parking in the pay-by-plate spaces in Lot 310, which is located north of the Lory Student Center. See grid location J-6 on the CSU Campus Parking Map. The pay-by-plate spaces are located in the west half of Lot 310 (colored orange with a picture of a clock on the parking map). There are also pay-by-plate spaces in Lot 425, which is located due west of the Morgan Library (grid location H–9 on the campus map). The pay-by-plate spaces are located in the south half of Lot 425. Meter rates are $1.75 an hour.

Free parking is available in all lots mentioned above, as Saturday is not a regular university business day.
