Did you know that the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences has a daily courier? CVMBS has a courier who has a set route each day for delivering and picking up mail within the College and across the University.
There is a set route that helps mail get from one location to another that is usually faster than sending the mail via campus delivery. If the item is not delivered to the destination that same day, it will be there the next day. It is all a matter of where the stop falls in the route. For example, if a document is picked up from the Foothills Campus and needs to go to the VTH, and the courier has already been to the VTH, the document will be delivered the next day.
There is a route that is taken by walking on campus and a route that is taken by driving. The walking route consists of stops at the following buildings:
- Environmental Radiology Health Sciences (1681)
- Pathology (1619)
- Microbiology, Immunology, and Pathology (1682)
- Molecular and Radiological Biosciences (1618)
- Physiology (1680)
- Development Office (1680)
The driving route consists of stops at:
Additional stops such as the Student Center for the Cashier’s Office are as needed. Also, 555 S. Howes, 601 S. Howes, the Administration Building, Student Services Building, and the Student Center are for drop-offs only, not a place for pick-ups.
The courier route will be done again this semester by Bekah except on Tuesdays when it will be done by Alicia. Together, this is a way to get CVMBS mail around the College and University in a timely manner.
The hours for the Spring 2013 semester are as follows:
Mondays - Walking and driving: 11 a.m. (Bekah)
Tuesdays - Walking and driving: 12:15 p.m. (Alex)
Wednesdays - Walking and driving: 11 a.m. (Bekah)
Thursdays - Walking: 12 a.m., Driving: 2 p.m. (Bekah)
Fridays - Walking and driving: 11 a.m. (Bekah)
As a reminder, PLEASE make sure to always address your mail with the following:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Department
- Campus Delivery Code
- Building and Room Number (if you know it)
This will help Bekah sort the mail quicker and ensure she has the correct information. Any changes are sent out through the CAC list serv that day.
*The Ag Sciences Modular is being added to the route for the help of the relocated Animal Sciences department.
