Welcome to the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences Finance and Strategic Services website! This site was created to assist the faculty and staff with a variety administrative issues and processes. Our team hopes that you find the site easy to navigate and full of useful and timely information.

 

Each of the sections of the Finance and Strategic Services department worked to develop the information contained within the website. You will find these sections on the navigation on the right-side of the site. For reference, these areas are: Finance and Accounting, Information Technology Services, Human Resources, Business Analytics, and Facilities. The site includes Communication Initiatives, more commonly known as CVMBS Communications, in order to provide one-stop shopping for administrative resources. Each group has worked to centralize University and College policies, processes, and forms into one area for your ease of use. Please let us know if you have find gaps in either the information or the processes. Our success is measured by your ability to find what you need quickly and easily in order to complete your administrative requirements.

 

Be sure and check out the new administrative calendar on the site. The calendar will keep you updated on the key dates for the College and University’s administrative processes, whether they are HR processes, budgeting or other administrative processes. The calendar should assist each area in monitoring deadlines and planning appropriate resources.

 

The site also includes a process to quickly disseminate key administrative decisions and information. You will notice a live Twitter feed on the landing page of the site. You can either just check in on the page periodically, or, if you have your own Twitter account, follow cvmbs_fss on Twitter and you will get instant updates. I will use this process along with email and the web calendar to pass along critical information or dates.

 

I would like to thank our communications (Meg Small and Rachel Timmons) folks for their hard work in developing this site. Without their support and dedication to this effort this site would not have been possible. And I want to thank each of you for your support and review of the site. It is our hope that we can improve our communications to each of you and that this website is a tool that you will find useful.
