 Applying for veterinary school is a complex process. Use this page to keep yourself organized and to keep track of important dates and deadlines.

 Summary of Application Submission Requirements

 

​If the following items are NOT received before October 2, 2014 (11:00 a.m. MST), your Colorado Supplemental Application will be designated as INELIGIBLE and will be eliminated from further review by the Admissions Committee.

  • VMCAS Application & Fee
  • CSA Application & Fee
  • GRE Verbal and Quantitative (self-reported/unofficial)

  • June 2014: VMCAS Application opens
  •  
  • July 2014: Colorado Supplemental Application (CSA) opens
  •  
  • September 1, 2014: transcripts received by VMCAS for transcript verification
  •  
  • September 1, 2014: course substitution requests, of required courses, must be received via email at 
  •  
  • October 2, 2014: VMCAS Application due before 11:00am MT
  •  
  • October 2, 2014: Colorado Supplemental Application due before 11:00am MT
  •  
  • October 15, 2014: deadline to submit residency applications to WICHE state(s) for residency certification
  •  
  • October 15, 2014: Allow two weeks for processing of documents required for resolution of tuition classification issues and/or legal disciplinary items. Documents should be submitted before October 15 to ensure resolution by October 31.
  •  
  • Late-December 2014 through mid-January 2015: approximate dates for offers, alternates, and denial of admission
  •  
  • April 15, 2015: deadline for students to accept/decline for those who have received an offer
  •  
  • July 15, 2015: If you are an offer/alternate status, receipt of final transcript(s) showing successful completion of remaining required prerequisites is due in the CVMBS-Office of the Dean.
  •  
  • July 15, 2015: If you are an offer/alternate status, and you are enrolled in a graduate program at the time of application, you are required to send a graduate program release letter. 
  •  
  • August 17-22, 2015: approximate orientation dates for the 2015 entering class
