Boy with Puppy

The CVMBS Office of Development assists friends and alumni who want to improve the lives, health, and welfare of animals and humans. There are many ways you can make a difference and get involved.

Our development team will be very proactive in sharing our stories, and working with our alumni and donors to build on the strong foundation that already is here at the College. You'll see us on the road quite a bit getting to know our supporters and alumni and meeting new people who are interested in investing in the future at the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

While growing up in Oklahoma, it was Ryan's job to feed his family's Brahman cattle. Ryan worked with the cattle on a daily basis to get them to build trust in him and to eat out of his hand. He is reliving a great childhood memory by feeding carrots to this pair of Brahmans. Ryan was destined to join the staff of CVMBS.

Meet Jasmine (1996-2006). She was a wonderful canine companion to JoEllen and her son Ethan. After losing Jasmine, Ethan wanted to remember her with a gift to the CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Their brick along the VTH Path of Honor helps animals today and commemorates the life of this special dog. It reads, "Ethan and Jasmine Best Friends Forever."

Tootsie is Wendy's favorite pug. Her girls enjoy dressing Tootsie in princess clothes and pulling her around the neighborhood in the wagon. But they never feed Tootsie Halloween candy per the wise advice of CSU veterinarians.

Remi is the youngest of Justine's three pets. He is the clown of the family and regularly pretends to be a dog, especially around his buddy Bear, a Chocolate Lab. Remi recently became a blood donor for the Veterinary Teaching Hospital where many sick and injured cats receive life-saving transfusions.
