Aspirates, blood and bone marrow

The test "LSA ICC Profile"is now being performed by the CSU Clinical Pathology Laboratory. With this change, we have expanded the available antibodies (see list below) from which the CSU clinical pathologist can choose to identify the cell population in question. Please note that there has been a price change; every submission will also be charged a cytology fee as well.

Please submit a minimum of 4 air-dried slides for analysis. Cavity fluids, bone marrow, and blood can be submitted, as well; however, slides from freshly collected samples are preferred. The slides will be analyzed and interpreted by a board certified clinical pathologist, and then referred for antibody staining. Final results will read and reported by the pathologist and faxed to the referring DVM within 4-5 business days. Slides submitted for ICC can be used for PARR if further diagnostics are required. Please contact Dr. Sarah Leavell at sarah.leavell@colostate.edu or (970) 297-1270. Email is preferred.

Antibodies available for Chromogenic ICC include (but are not limited to):

  • CD3, Pax5, Mum1, CD18, Cytokeratin, Vimentin, and Melin A.
