Services Offered

Blood Alcohol Analysis using Gas Chromatography Flame Ionization Detection (GC-FID)

We utilize an Agilent 7890 GC with 7697 Headspace Sampler to do:

  • Quantitative determination of ethanol
  • Qualitative determinations of methanol, acetone, isopropanol, acetonitrile, ethyl     acetate, difluorethane, sevoflurane, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes
  • Drug Screening using Liquid Chromatography Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry (LC-TOF-MS)
  • We utilize an Agilent 1290 Liquid Chromatography paired with an Agilent 6530 TOF-Mass spectrometer and our in-house accurate mass/retention time database to qualitatively identify drugs of interest in blood and other matrices. Our current Forensic Toxicology Database includes:

    • Amphetamines
    • Antidepressants/Mood Stabilizers/Anti-psychotics
    • Antihistamines
    • Benzodiazepines
