ERHS Graduate Program Admission Requirements

 
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • A copy of the applicant's resume or curriculum vitae
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 in all prior college-level work for regular admission
  • Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores in the general examination (verbal, quantitative and analytical writing) within five (5) years.
  • One official transcript from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended (Note: CSU transcripts are not required).
  • Written statement of Background, interests, motivation and goals.
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation from academic or professional sources.

International Students Only:

  • TOEFL/IELTS SCORES
    • The minimum TOEFL score for unconditional admission is 213 (computer based); 550 (paper based); or 80 (internet based).
    • The minimum IELTS score for unconditional admission is 6.5

Additional Ergonomics Admission Requirements
 

Applications are most commonly accepted from individuals with undergraduate or graduate degrees in the health sciences, engineering, behavioral, biological, physical, or safety sciences.  Previous coursework in anatomy, physiology, psychology, and statistics is strongly recommended.  Each candidate is evaluated on their individual merits and qualities.  Exceptions may be granted to applicants who demonstrate particular professional promise.  Such exceptions may be admitted with an individually documented plan of study to compensate for any deficiencies.
 
Admission to the Ergonomics Training Program is based upon many factors that include academic strengths, undergraduate preparation, work experience, research experience, extracurricular activities, and other factors.
 
Additional Ph.D. requirement:  Evidence of research capability.
 

Ergonomic Application Deadlines

 
NOTE:  All required application materials, including the application, must be received by the department on or before the following deadlines:
 
  • Fall semester:  July 1
  • Spring semester: November 1
  • Applications for Summer Session are not accepted 

Application Procedures:

All Students:

  1. Complete the Graduate School Online Application and submit the $50.00 application fee.
  2. Submit:
    • One official transcript from ALL undergraduate and graduate institutions attended (Note:  CSU transcripts are not required).
    • Written statement of background, interests, motivation, and goals
    • Resume or Curriculum Vitae
    • Three letters of recommendation
  3. Complete the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and submit your score:
    • To obtain the GRE application and examination dates visit the GRE website at: http://www.ets.org/gre
    • Have ETS send your GRE scores to: Colorado State University - Our institution code is: 4075

International Students Only:

  1. Submit:
    • TOEFL or IELTS Scores (Request that ETS send scores to Colorado State University - Our institution code is 4075
    • Proof of financial support (GS3F)
