 The research goals and vision of Dr. Elizabeth Ryan and her lab are to advance comparative and translational research related to chronic and infectious disease control and prevention using integrated systems biology approaches and dietary based solutions.

Dietary Interventions for Improved Gut Health and Immunity

Research Interests:  Translational research spanning laboratory, animal models, and clinical trials for companion animals and human health across the lifespan.  This multi-disciplinary lab studies gut mucosal immunity and enteric pathogens in laboratory models, nutrient digestibility and weight loss in companion animals, and gut health and immunity in colorectal cancer survivors.  They also collaborate with local, national, and international groups on projects that include Feed the Future and One Health.
