Each week, the Endocrine Lab performs assays according to the following schedule:

Assays for protein hormones such as Luteinizing Hormone (LH), and equine Follicle Stimulating Hormone (eFSH) are set up on Wednesday.

We need to receive the samples no later than Tuesday afternoon in order to include them in that week's assay schedule. If you are sending a large number of samples, please ship them before Tuesday, so the Lab will have ample time to organize the samples. The assays go through a series of incubations over a period of 5 days and results are reported Monday afternoon.

Steroid hormones such as Testosterone and Progesterone are set up on Thursday afternoon.

We need to receive these samples no later than Wednesday afternoon in order to include them in that week's assay schedule. If you are sending a large number of samples, please send them before Wednesday so the Lab will have ample time to organize the samples. The assays go through a series of incubations and results are reported Monday afternoon.

Mare Pregnancy Tests (MPTs) are set up on Thursday afternoon.

We need to receive these samples no later than Wednesday afternoon in order to include them in that week's assay schedule. If you are sending a large number of samples, please send them before Wednesday so the Lab will have ample time to organize the samples. The assays go through a series of incubations and results are reported Monday afternoon.

A STAT MPT test is available Monday-Thursday for an additional charge. Results are reported the following day.

All other assays are set up on a timely basis depending on the workload of the Lab.
