Spring has finally arrived in Colorado and with it commencement ceremonies at Colorado State University. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 16-18, the eight colleges at the University will celebrate graduation at different venues and different times.
Commencement ceremonies for the 141 students receiving their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine will be Thursday, May 16, 5:30 p.m., at Moby Arena. The University-wide Graduate School commencement ceremony, for all master’s and PhD students, will be Friday, May 17, 3 p.m., at Moby Arena. The College has 88 students receiving their graduate degrees, 14 are PhDs and 74 are in master’s programs.
Undergraduate students in the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences will have their commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 18, 9 a.m., in the Student Recreation Center. This includes 132 students graduating from the College’s three undergraduate programs in environmental health, microbiology, and biomedical sciences. A reception for students, faculty and staff members, family and guests will immediately follow the ceremony in the Lory Student Center Theatre.
On Thursday and Friday, A-permit parking zones (Faculty and Staff zones) will be enforced until 4 p.m. Visitors can park in the Z portion of the lot west of Moby Arena, as well as any other Z lots on campus.
On Friday and Saturday, the Lory Student Center North parking lot will have free public parking in the pay-by-space numbered stalls.
On Saturday, Meridian Avenue will be open from Plum Street to South Drive. There will be no parking allowed on Meridian Avenue, and the entrance at Meridian Avenue and Laurel Street will be closed due to ongoing construction.
